November 16, 1995 was declared the "International Day of Tolerance" by UNESCO. Since then, this date has been widely celebrated annually throughout the world.

  On the initiative of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine of the Samarkand State Medical University, a spiritual and educational meeting was organized on November 16 in honor of the "International Day of Tolerance". Representatives of national and cultural centers operating in the region took part in the event as guests.

  During the meeting, the participants noted that tolerance is a high human virtue and historical value of the Uzbek people, and life in peace and harmony of representatives of different nationalities is the key to the peaceful development of the country.

  At the end of the event, all guests were presented with memorable gifts.
