On September 24-27, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan will hold the “First Uzbek-Italian Educational Forum” at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

  Representatives of many higher educational institutions of our republic and Italy are taking part in the forum. Within the framework of the forum, many cooperation agreements are signed. In particular, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between Samarkand State Medical University and the Italian University of Pisa.

  According to the signed memorandum, the universities agreed on the organization of academic mobility for students and staff, the implementation of long-term and short-term internships, as well as joint work on the integration of educational programs.

  For information, we note that in July of this year, the rector of SamSMU, professor Jasur Rizaev, during his official visit to Italy, met with the rector of the University of Pisa Riccardo Zucchi, where they discussed issues of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between universities.

The work of the first Uzbek-Italian educational forum will continue on September 25-27 in the Bukhara and Samarkand regions.
