One of the priority tasks defined in the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-188 of April 1, 2022 is to bring highly qualified specialized medical care closer to the population of remote districts. In order to ensure the fulfillment of this task, a complex neurosurgical operation was performed by the specialists of the specialized scientific-practical center of neurosurgery and neurorehabilitation under SamSMU in the Ishtikhon district medical association of Samarkand region.

  Born in 1998, resident of Ishtikhan district, B.Sh. Ishtikhon applied to the TTB with complaints of constant severe pain in the lower back and pain radiating to the left leg, inability to walk independently due to pain, and inability to sleep.

  According to the results of the clinical-neurological and additional examination carried out in the hospital, neurosurgeons diagnosed "VL4-5, VL5-VS1 disc herniations" and recommended surgical treatment of the disease.

  The practice of "removal of VL4-5, VL5-VS1 disc herniations from the left side using a tubular retractor using the interlaminar microscopic method" was successfully performed by the specialists of the specialized scientific-practical center of neurosurgery and neurorehabilitation at SamSMU (Operators - PhD, associate professor M.A. Aliyev, M.S. Tilavkulov, H.Z. Ahmatov) . After the operation, the general condition of the patient is satisfactory.

  Physician-ordinators of intensive care and surgery departments of Ishtikhon TTB participated in the operation and gained knowledge and practical skills during this complex neurosurgical operation.
