On April 18, 2024, an international scientific-practical conference on the topic "Current issues of traumatology and orthopedics" began at the Samarkand State Medical University. At the international conference held by Samarkand State Medical University and "Railway Social Services" JSC "Uzbekistan Railways", leading scientists and specialists of the field from India, Russia and other CIS countries and Uzbekistan, professors, practicing doctors and young scientists participated.
At the ceremonial opening of the international conference, SamSMU rector, professor, member of the International Academy of Ecology, Human Safety and Natural Sciences Jasur Rizayev, head of the "Railway Social Services" institution of "Uzbekistan Railways" JSC Mukhsinjon Mamasiddikov, Samarkand the head of the regional health department Sukhrob Zayniev, the head of traumatology and orthopedics department of ITM (St. Petersburg) named after R.R. Vreden of the Russian Federation, professor Dmitriy Ptashnikov and others addressed the participants with congratulatory words and said that the new field of traumatology and orthopedics they emphasized the relevance of discussing achievements and the importance of international scientific and practical cooperation.
Within the framework of the conference, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between Samarkand State Medical University and the "Railway Social Services" institution of "Uzbekistan Railways" JSC.
Modern approaches to the surgical treatment of diseases of the spinal cord and large joints, endoprosthesis of large joints, pre-planning of simultaneous operations, rehabilitation of patients after surgery were widely discussed at the conference. The participants of the conference shared knowledge and skills to get acquainted with new fundamental knowledge and innovative developments in the field, and to introduce scientific achievements into health care practice.
The international scientific-practical conference "Current Issues of Traumatology and Orthopedics" held at the Samarkand State Medical University contributes to the development of this field in our country, strengthening international scientific cooperation, and improving the quality of medical services provided to the population.
