On March 9 of this year, a meeting was held at the Samarkand State Medical University regarding the dormitories of higher educational institutions, their conditions, and ongoing work.

  At the event, Deputy Mayor of Samarkand Region for Tourism, Culture, Cultural Heritage and Mass Communications - Head of the General Department of Tourism R. Kobilov, Head of the Department of Sanitation and Epidemiology of Samarkand Region, Peace and Public Health M. Nasretdinova and  Vice-rectors and officials of educational institutions participated.

  During the meeting, the activity of student dormitories in a number of higher education institutions was studied, and critical opinions were expressed about their compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, compliance with rules of cleanliness and order, and activity of clubs in the dormitories.

  Necessary assignments were given to those responsible for eliminating existing problems and shortcomings.
