Samarkand State Medical University has been implementing several joint projects in cooperation with Webster University of the USA. In particular, an agreement was reached between the two universities to support the training of qualified specialists in "Higher Nursing" based on American standards.

  On January 31 of this year, Webster University Nursing Department Head, Associate Professor Sue McFarlane and Department Coordinator, Associate Professor Jody Spiess visited Samarkand State Medical University. Rector of the university Jasur Rizayev welcomed the guests.

  At the meeting, discussions were held regarding educational processes and procedures for the training of senior nurses according to the agreement, and a number of issues were in the center of attention.

  The guests also got to know the university and the conditions created in it, as well as the activities of the simulation center, and shared their warm impressions.
