On October 4, delegation of North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov headed by Rector, Professor Sergey Anatolyevich Sayganov and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Sergey Anatolyevich Artyushkin visited Samarkand State Medical University.

  During the visit it was agreed that from 2024-2025 academic year between the two institutions of higher education will be established training of clinical residents on the basis of a joint educational program in more than 50 medical directions, as well as enhanced the program of academic mobility with students and faculty, which would equate the level of medical education to the world's leading universities.

  As information, it is worth saying that the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov is one of the leading medical universities, which was founded in 1885 and holds a place in the prestigious world ratings for the organization of the educational process and implementation of international projects in cooperation with medical universities of foreign countries. In particular, the university still works in partnership with medical institutions in more than 70 countries.

  The cooperation established between I.I. Mechnikov Northwestern State Medical University and Samarkand State Medical University will also mark high results and create a basis for students of our university to reach the world level.
