A delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by Minister of Health Temur Musaev visited Samarkand State Medical University on August 17. The guests were met by Rector of Samarkand State University Zhasur Rizayev.

  During the visit, guests got acquainted with the new building of Samarkand State Medical University and conditions created in it, educational and laboratory rooms, their equipment and system of organization of classes. The guests also had an opportunity to visit the University History Museum and familiarize themselves with the history of Samarkand State Medical University.

  Moreover, the parties discussed promising projects between SamSMU and medical universities of Azerbaijan in educational and scientific sphere.

  At the end of the visit the guests were presented with memorable souvenirs with the emblem of the university.
