On May 29, 2023, on the eve of World Asthma and Allergy Day, the Samarkand State Medical University hosted the International Scientific and Practical Seminar "Asthma & Allergies: From Innovation to Practice." The organizers were the departments of internal diseases No. 1 and phthisiology and pulmonology of SSMU.
The international seminar was attended by leading specialists in the field of allergology and immunology invited jointly with the International Center for Molecular Allergology: Ella Churikina (Rostov-on-Don, Russian Federation), Kymbatkul Osmonbaeva (Karakol, Kyrgyz Republic), Gulnara Dzhambekova (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan).
At the opening ceremony, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and Innovations of SSMU, Head of the Department of Internal Diseases No. 1 Doctor of Medical Sciences Shukhrat Ziyadullaev made a welcoming speech.
During the seminar, the basics of the pathogenesis of allergic diseases were considered, recommendations for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of various forms of asthma and allergies, as well as a wide exchange of experience between specialists in the field of introducing innovations in practical healthcare industries were discussed.
