It is no secret that the addiction to drugs and psychotropic substances entails great negative consequences for a person and society, and each of us is responsible for their non-proliferation.

  A seminar on combating the spread of drugs and psychotropic substances and their negative consequences was held at Samarkand State Medical University. The meeting was attended by representatives of the rector's office and deans, an employee of the Samarkand regional prosecutor's office Zh.Kosimov, an inspector for prevention at SamSMU O.Eshmurotov, a psychologist D.Juraeva, teachers, tutors and students of university faculties.

  The meeting was opened by Vice-Rector of Samara State Medical University for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work E. Tangirov , and he announced the issues on the agenda. Speakers at the meeting gave detailed information about the consequences of drug use, their medical and spiritual harm to humans. Zh.Kosimov, an employee of the Samarkand Regional Prosecutor's Office, in his speech also emphasized the fight against the spread of drug and psychotropic substances.

  During the event, videos and thematic presentations were also shown to the participants.
