Samarkand State Medical University is actively cooperating with and providing methodological support for schools in remote districts of Samarkand Region.

  In particular, on the initiative of Asliddin Akbarov, student of Samarkand State Medical University and "Health Activist", a round table discussion on issues concerning healthy lifestyle was held at 54th school in Urgut district of the region. The event was attended by school teachers, Anvar Muibov, member of the District Council, psychologists and activists of the district.

  Thus, the meeting was opened by school director Feruz Boboev, who spoke in detail about the opportunities and conditions created for young people in the country.

  During the round table, the Head of the Department of Pharmacology of SamSMU, PhD., Associate Professor Soatboy Yuldashev and Assistant Professor of Forensic Medicine Mukhsina Rasulova delivered online lectures on "Viral hepatitis: clinic, etiology and pathogenesis" and "Prevention of psychoactive substance use among young people".

  The round table was held in the form of an active dialogue, and students received detailed answers to all their questions. At the end of the event, 10 particularly active students were awarded certificates and souvenirs.
