October 18 is widely celebrated as "Samarkand City Day" every year.
The leadership and staff of Dean's Office of Medical Prevention, Public Health and Medical Biology Department of Samarkand State Medical University in collaboration with faculty of Medical Biology and Genetics Department, leaders of Youth Union under the slogan "City with glorious past, happy present and eternal future" held cultural and educational event in student dormitory № 3.
At the event, students presented theatrical performances on the history of Samarkand, various contests were held, competitions in drawing, chess and checkers, table tennis.
The winners were awarded certificates, diplomas and souvenirs. And the melodies played at the end delighted all participants of the meeting.
