Today, on October 5, Samarkand State Medical University held a celebration event on the occasion of the nationwide holiday “October 1 - Teachers and Mentors Day”. The celebrations were attended by the university administration, deans, faculty stuff and students.
At the ceremony, Rector Zhasur Rizaev expressed his warmest words to the teachers and mentors, who are the heart and soul of the university, and presented certificates of merit and mementos to a number of staff members. Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Nargiza Yarmukhammedova presented Rector Jasur Rizaev with a commendation and a memento for his contribution to the organization of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Samarkand.
At the celebration, the university students presented a play entitled Renaissance. The stage saw a masterful performance of images of our great ancestors, including Amir Temur, Mirzo Ulugbek, Zahiriddin Babur and Bahadir Yalangtush, which was greeted with thunderous applause by the festival's participants.
