On September 24, 2022 a 45th jubilee reunion of alumni of 1977 of the Pediatric and Medical Faculties was held at Samarkand State Medical University. The regularly held event acquired a special festive flavour this year. Early in the morning guests were welcomed in the main building of the University, while the opening ceremony took place in the auditorium of the new building of Samarkand State Medical University.

  At the opening ceremony, vice-rector of SamSMU on academic affairs, associate professor N.A. Yarmukhamedova, vice-rector for scientific work, DSc. Sh.Kh.Ziyadullaev, associate professor of department of medical physics N.O. Sodikov noted importance and significance of the meeting, talked about ongoing reforms and transformations to improve the quality of educational process and enhance the prestige of the university in the educational space.

  During the meeting, guests and participants acquainted with the conditions created at the University, the new academic buildings, laboratories and classrooms, received detailed information on the conduct of educational process, visited the library and history museum of University.

  The guests of the meeting, physicians who graduated from Samarkand State Medical Institute's Pediatric and Medical Faculties back in 1977, shared their memories and impressions from visiting the new building of the University. Praising the extensive work carried out at the university under the leadership of Rector Zh.A.Rizaev, all the participants sent their sincere congratulations and wishes for new victories and successes to their alma mater.
