According to the decision of Board of Trustees of "Nuroniy" Fund on supporting social activity of veterans of Uzbekistan from May 6 of this year "On awarding with a badge "The Veteran of Labor", a group of employees of Samarkand city from different spheres of economy and social sphere were awarded with a badge "The Veteran of Labor".

  On 29 June 2022 at a gala meeting attended by the region's khokim (eng. head of local government) E.Turdimov, the role of pensioners and their contribution to the development of production, science, culture, education, healthcare and other spheres were emphasized.

  At the event, 90 active pensioners of Samarkand region were awarded with a "Veteran of Labor" badge and cash prizes.

  It is gratifying that representatives of Samarkand State Medical University were among those awarded.

  In particular, badges "Veteran of Labour" for long and fruitful activity wasawarded solemnly to: chairman of the University staff trade union, Associate Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Y. Allayorov; professor of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, DSc, Dr. U. Lutfullaev;associate Professor at the Department of Physics, Biophysics and Medical Physics, Candidate of Medical Sciences N. Sodikov.
