Samarkand State Medical University, within the framework of "INNOWOMEN WEEK", jointly with regional department for family and women affairs and regional branch of "Olima" Association, held scientific-practical conference of women-scientists named "Role and significance of innovative ideas and projects in medicine".

  Opening the conference, Rector of Samarkand State Medical University Jasur Rizaev spoke about reforms carried out by the state to support women and the work being performed in this direction at the university. Zebiniso Pulatova, deputy khokim (eng. head of regional government) of region, head of Family and Women Affairs Department; Fotima Botyrova, lawyer; Jamilya Badriddinova, deputy chairwoman of "Olima" Regional Association made a speech at the conference and told about the content of Decree of President of Uzbekistan "On Measures to Accelerate the Systemic Support of Family and Women" of March 7, 2022 and achievements of women scientists in science and opportunities created for them to engage in research activities.

  Women scientists from Samarkand State Medical University made interesting presentations on innovative ideas and projects in medicine, and shared their comments on the speakers' presentations.

  At the end of the conference, a number of women scientists and activists of the University Women's Council were awarded certificates of appreciation by the regional Khokimiyat (eng. regional government).
