On April 9, a job fair was organised at Samarkand State Medical University to promote employment of undergraduate and postgraduate graduates with the participation of employers - heads of healthcare institutions, central hospitals and private clinics.
This academic year the university is planning to graduate 750 bachelors, 110 masters and 303 clinical residents.
The heads of a number of medical and preventive institutions in Jizzak, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Navoi provinces actively participated in the job fair.During the meeting with future graduates it was stressed that there is great need for medical personnel not only in Samarkand region, but also in neighboring regions, in particular 151 medical vacancies in Jizzakh region, 169 in Kashkadarya region, 177 in Surkhandarya region and 147 in Navoi region. The graduates were also given a detailed explanation of the conditions and opportunities for work in the field, particularly in remote communities, where there is mainly a need for staff.
Heads of institutions and organisations in need of SamSMU graduates can apply to the university administration with a letter of request until 15 May 2022.
At the job fair, a number of graduates were able to decide on their future place of employment and to negotiate appropriate bilateral contracts.
