In accordance with requirements of Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" and "On Local Public Authorities" for investigating and eliminating problems of enhancing the quality and effectiveness of education in the system of public education of the region, improving the interaction between secondary schools and higher education institutions and decision No.10-7-0-Q/22 dated January 11, 2022 of Samarkand district Hokimiyat of Samarkand district "On enhancing the quality of education in schools that ranked last in the Samarkand region" 16 general education schools of Koshrabad district of our province have been attached to our institute.
In order to ensure implementation of this decision and cooperation with attached schools, representatives of all schools attached to our institute and Samarkand State Medical Institute agreed on February 5, 2022 in Koshrabad district administration to realize the following objectives:
- Improving the quality of education:
Organise work with the lowest ranked general secondary schools in the district according to an approved schedule; by the end of the year, in all attached general secondary schools ranked lowest in the district, obtain feedback from teachers and students and study their suggestions and problems to improve the quality of education; develop a road map for solving the identified problems and improving the quality of education in the general secondary schools studied; organise weekly visits to the schools studied by the working groups in order to fulfil the tasks set, analyse the work done and provide appropriate practical and methodological assistance; carry out weekly and monthly monitoring and discussion of students' knowledge and grades; prepare proposals to enrich the material and technical base of the general secondary schools;
- Increase enrolment of graduates in tertiary education institutions:
Establishment of "Entrants' HQs" to coordinate vocational guidance and increase access to higher education institutions for graduates of general secondary schools in the lowest ranking Koshrabad district; equipping "Entrants' HQs" and providing a list of domestic and foreign universities, passing grades by field of study, and tests for 9th, 10th and 11th grades on vocational guidance; organise university preparatory classes on the basis of the curriculum and the potential of secondary school teachers; establish clubs in foreign languages, science and natural sciences and social sciences based on the qualifications of school and university teachers; in cooperation with the regional office of the State Testing Centre, conduct tests every three months in the areas chosen by graduates of the secondary general education school and discuss the results at the school meetings of teachers and parents meetings .
- Together with the public and the local councils of people's deputies:
In order to increase the responsibility of parents for their children's education and to establish regular cooperation with educational institutions, to study the situation of parents' control over students' education by conducting public opinion polls; to organize dialogues between students and school graduates and to conduct explanatory work on organizing material and moral support for graduates of the general education institution; to analyse the performance of the school principal on a monthly basis, to raise the issue of changing the school principal if his/her performance is assessed as "unsatisfactory" to bring proposals to the local councils of people's deputies together with the rector of the institute.
The event was attended by E. S. Tangirov, First Vice Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual Upbringing of the Institute, Kh. S. Kubayev, Deputy Khokim of Koshrabad district for youth policy, social development and spiritual and educational work, and representatives of the district public education department.
