On April 13 of the current year in Samarkand State Medical University the regional stage of the I International Student Competition of Scientific Research in the field of orthopedic dentistry, dedicated to the memory of Professor V.N.Kopeikin was held.

  Students of Tashkent State Dental Institute, Bukhara State Medical Institute, Andijan State Medical Institute, Urgench Branch of Tashkent Medical Academy, Samarkand State Medical University participated in the international competition in online and offline formats. Heads of "orthopedic dentistry" departments of medical universities took part as judges. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dean of the Dental Faculty of SamSMU A.A. Akhmedov emphasized the importance of the competition and wished good luck to all its participants.

  At the contest students presented reports "Peculiarities of influence of orthopedic and orthodontic constructions on temporomandibular joint", "Modern methods of treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases before prosthetics", "Clinical significance of using electronic diagnostic models in the practice of orthopedic dentistry" and a number of other topical areas of dentistry.

  At the end of the regional stage of the competition all winners and prize-winners were awarded certificates.
