A delegation of the the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology named after Acad. Y.Kh.Turakulov visited Samarkand State Medical University on 13th of April.

  The guests were familiarized with conditions created at the university to ensure a full educational process and highly appreciated the level of technical equipment of the university's classrooms and laboratories. The Endocrinology Centre expressed its willingness to provide scientific and methodological assistance in improving the quality of training of endocrinologists at Samarkand State Medical University.

  Thus, representatives of the Centre met with professors and lecturers in the assembly hall of the University. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Specialised Scientific and Practical Medical Centre of Endocrinology named after Acad. Y.Kh.Turakulov and Samarkand State Medical University. According to the agreement, the parties will work together to promote scientific and educational programs, arrange conferences, seminars and roundtables, and improve staff qualifications.

  Representatives of the Centre - Director, DSc, Feruz Turaev and Deputy Director, DSc, Prof. Feruza Khaidarova gave presentations on the current state and prospects of treatment of diabetes mellitus in the country for professors, master's students and clinical residents of Samarkand State Medical University.
