Today, on March 7, SamSMI celebrated International Women's Day on March 8. The celebration was attended by professors and staff of SamSMI.

  Opening the festive programme, Rector of SamSMI J.A. Rizaev congratulated all charming, intelligent women professors, teachers and staff of the institute, as well as all women and girls on the forthcoming holiday. He wished them to be as beautiful and graceful as spring and wished them good health and success in their work.

  Administration of the institute, female employees of clinics and academic lyceums of Samarkand State Medical University who have been working hard for several years and exemplified their multifaceted activities were awarded by certificates of merit and memorable gifts.

  A gala concert programme was then organised and festive songs were sung. Several artistic performances were performed by talented students of SamSMI.

  Also today, a festive event was held at SamSMI Clinic No. 1, during which all female staff members were congratulated on the holiday. They were presented with commemorative gifts.
