As part of implementation of one of the “Five Presidential Initiatives” on creating the necessary conditions for young people to practice and demonstrate their abilities in sports, physical toughening of young people, chess and checkers competition were organized in the dormitory № 3 of SamSMI.

  Students of Faculty of Medical Prevention, Public Health and Medical Biology as well as students of all faculties living in dormitories № 1 and 3 took part in the contest. In the competition which lasted from 18:00 to 20:30, students not only had a good time but also improved their practical and theoretical knowledge on chess and checkers. Participants were provided with sports equipment and a variety of books.

  At the end of the event Mamasolieva Shokhista Abdugapparovna, Spiritual Outreach Officer, talked about organizing a volleyball game among students in the near future as part of the «5 Initiatives» and invited everyone to take part in the competition.
