On January 5, a training seminar for the teaching staff of the departments on the basics of preparing and publishing articles in the highly rated journals started at the new academic building of Samarkand State Medical Institute.

  The seminar moderator, PhD, Aziza Makhmudova began her speech on the importance of publishing articles in highly ranked journals, noting their significant importance in improving the position of the institute in the national and international ranking systems of higher education institutions. The seminar focused on the definition of the concept of a scientific article, scientific databases, search and selection of journals for publication of research results, methodology of scientific articles and modern requirements for them, as well as issues of citation, impact factor and other constituent elements of modern scientific research.

  The seminar had a lively and debatable format and participants received detailed answers to all their questions.
