From November 7 to December 11 a group of students and professors of Samarkand State Medical Institute visited the University of Health Sciences in Turkey within the framework of academic mobility program.
Thus, representatives of the institute visited the University of Health Sciences of Turkey and its Center for Experimental Medical Research and met with the Vice Chancellor of the University, Murat Elevli and the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Tahsin Tepecek. During the first week of the visit, the faculty and students visited the Sultanbeyli Dental Teaching and Research Hospital and the Umraniye Gynecology and Pediatrics Teaching and Research Hospital and familiarized themselves with the facilities.
The SamSMI delegation also went to Nejdet Saglam Hospital and had a fruitful conversation with Chief Doctor and Head of Paediatric Endocrinology Department Koshkun Celtic, Head of Neonatology Department Ilke Mungan Akin and Head of Dermatology Department Ilkeen Zindanjilar.
The institute representatives were also introduced to the teaching and research activities at the University of Health Sciences, one of Turkey's leading medical schools. The visit, as part of this academic mobility, will enhance the academic capacity of our institute and strengthen international relations.
