Official delegation of otorhinolaryngologists, including former president of the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Desiderio Passali, president of the Italian Society of Rhinologists Gaetano Motta, honorary president of the Italian Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology Luisa Bellussi, President of the Italian Society of Rhinologists Felice Scasso, member of the Italian Society of Rhinologists Pasquale Cassano, specialists from La Sapien University of Rome - Giovanni Motta, Marco Piemonte and Valerio Damiani, visited Samarkand State Medical Institute.

  As part of the visit, members of the delegation met with Rector J. Rizaev of Samarkand State Medical Institute and held extended talks. During friendly talks with Italian colleagues are planned to improve the skills of physicians, their training and retraining, conducting joint research, development of modern and innovative methods of treatment and diagnosis, providing full coverage of continuing professional education and development of innovations in healthcare, in accordance with the global level, as well as further integration of the work in the world scientific sphere.

  During the talks the parties exchanged opinions on advancing the cooperation with higher education institutions of Italy in various fields, in particular in the field of higher medical education, scientific research, academic mobility and other areas. Members of the Italian delegation recognised the possibility of taking relations to a higher level.

  During their visit to the institute, the members of the delegation appreciated the attention paid to the educational process in our country.
