Today a holiday meeting in honour of "October 1 - Teachers and Mentors Day" was held at the student dormitory No. 1 of Samarkand State Medical Institute on the initiative of the Medical Chemistry Department.

  So, Eldor Tangirov, Vice Rector for Youth Affairs, opened the meeting and congratulated all staff and students on behalf of the Institute's administration with the forthcoming holiday. Faculty members of the Department of Medical Chemistry, including Dr Liaquat Karim, also delivered their festive addresses. Pakistani students of the Faculty of International Education also congratulated their mentors on this holiday. Colourful performances by singers and artists of the regional Kh.Alimjan Music and Drama Theatre also brought a special festive mood to the participants.
