In recent years, the country has paid special attention to issues of gender equality, protection of the rights and interests of women. The Senate of the Oliy Majlis has a Committee on Women and Gender Equality, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Senate, a Commission on Gender Equality has been established, and the Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality until 2030 has been approved.

  The seminar held at the Samarkand State Medical Institute by the Consultative Council for Women's Affairs was devoted to the discussion of issues of ensuring the rights and interests of women. Speakers and participants discussed issues of ensuring equal and high-quality universal education, gender equality in society, access to higher education, protection of the rights and interests of women. Opinions were expressed about the need for more active participation in issues of gender equality, suppression of cases of violation of the rights and interests of women.
