An international scientific-practical conference titled “Actual Aspects of Medical Practice” was held at Samarkand State Medical Institute on June 21, 2021. In view of certain restrictive measures during pandemic, the scientific forum was held offline and online. The international conference was attended by staff from leading medical educational institutions and research and practice centres in Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan.
In the opening ceremony of the international conference, rector of Samarkand State Medical Institute Jasur Rizaev, Rector of the Kirov State Medical University Lev Zheleznev, director of Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Pediatrics Dilorom Akhmedova, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Anis Alyavi sent their greetings to the participants.

So, the sections of the international scientific-practical conference included reports on the actual aspects of pediatrics and dermatovenerology, therapy and endocrinology problems, interdisciplinary interaction and actual issues of medical rehabilitation, sports and folk medicine. A significant part of the reports were presentations of the results of research on the effect of coronavirus infection on the pathology of various diseases and peculiarities of treatment of patients with COVID-19.
It should be emphasized that the international scientific-practical conference “Actual Aspects of Medical Practice” held by Samarkand State Medical Institute will certainly contribute to further improvement of the quality of medical personnel training in the republic, introduction of developments of fundamental medicine into the practical healthcare industry, as well as further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between higher medical educational institutions of the republic and the foreign medical universities.
