On March 1, the first day of spring, Samarkand State Medical Institute held a show-contest "Balli Qizlar" ("Come on, girls") among students of faculties and academic lyceum of institute. The contest was dedicated to the 106th jubilee of outstanding poetess Zulfiyakhonim (1905-1996).
  So, the review-competition was opened by Rector of the Institute Jasur Alimjanovich Rizaev. In his speech Rector underlined government support to women and girls in our country and said that female students of our institute should be an example for other youth in education and personal life.
  Thus, the main part of the competition was held in four creative sessions, in which female students presented their teams, the history and contemporary life of their faculty, showed their knowledge and skills in primary care, reading books, singing and dancing. Colourful performances of girls, including students of the Faculty of International Education, did not leave indifferent all participants of the ceremony.
  In the end of competition, according to the unanimous decision of the jury the 1st place was given to the team of the Faculty of Medical pedagogy, 2nd place - to the team of the Faculty of Stomatology and 3rd place - to the team of the Faculty of Pediatrics.
  All participating teams were awarded certificates and memorable gifts.
