On March 2, the delegation of Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovski headed by Rector Andrey Vyacheslavovich Eremin paid an official visit to Samarkand State Medical Institute.
Members of delegation were received by Rector of SamSMI Prof. J.A. Rizaev. So, aspects of diverse cooperation between the two universities were discussed during the meeting. Jasur Alimjanovich noted that Saratov State Medical University named after V.I.Razumovski and Samarkand State Medical Institute are historically connected by professional and friendly relations in the sphere of science and personnel training.
During the meeting, the sides solemnly signed the agreement on network form of interaction in the field of education, and regulations of annual competition for joint projects on research of two universities. The network form of cooperation presupposes joint elaboration, approval and implementation of Double degree programs by the institutions, in particular in the field of training specialists in pharmacy. The contest of joint scientific research projects is planned to support scientific initiatives of scientists of the two higher educational institutions that helps cooperatively determine the directions and methods of research in basic medicine and practical healthcare. Rectors of both universities noted great potential of signed agreements and emphasized that implementation of them would contribute to efficiency of educational and scientific process in universities.
After the official part of the visit Rector of SamSMI and SSMU visited clinic No.2 of our institute. Accompanied by chief physician Prof J.A. Shamsiev the guests toured the departments, surgery blocks, laboratory and consultative unit of the clinic and discussed with faculty and staff of the institution. Rector of SSMU A.V. Eremin highly appreciated the work carried out in the clinic and thanked Rector Prof. J.A. Rizaev for the opportunity to visit the clinic No.2 of our Institute.
The new level of cooperation with the Russian university will certainly contribute to the further strengthening and development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between our countries as well as the training of highly qualified medical personnel in the region
