As a part of programme on development of cooperation in the field of medical education and sharing of experience Rector of Samarkand State Medical Institute Prof. J.A.Rizaev paid official visit to Sechenov University, First Moscow State Medical University (Moscow, Russia) from April 22 to 25 to participate in annual event “X Lecturer's Day at Institute of Dentistry”.

  ”Lecturer's Day at the Institute of Dentistry” is an annual event ofInstitute of Dentistry named after E.V. Borovsky at Sechenov University, which is attended by the rectors of leading medical universities of Russia and abroad. The rectors of the Belarusian State Medical University, Saratov State Medical University, North Ossetian Medical Academy, Ryazan State Medical University named after academician I.P. Pavlov, and other Russian and foreign medical universities participated in the current lecture day.

  During the visit, a working meeting was held between Prof. J.A. Rizaev, Rector of Samarkand State Medical Institute, and Prof. A.A. Svistunov, First Vice-Rector of Sechenov University, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences. The parties noted that Samarkand State Medical Institute and Sechenov University have been successfully cooperating since 2012 in implementing educational and research projects.

  During the meeting, new agreements have been reached on further cooperation between the two institutions, in particular, joint development of general medicine at the level of residency, MA and Ph.D. programs, including joint educational programs, as well as implementation of short-term internship programs for medical residents and young faculty members in the relevant departments and clinics of Sechenov University.
