At present, a lot of attention is paid to inculcating a culture of reading among the general public within the framework of implementation of five initiatives of the Head of our state.

  On March 29, a book trade fair "Book as a source of knowledge" was held at the hall of the main building of the Samarkand State Medical Institute on the initiative of the Information Resource Center. Bookstore chains actively participated in the fair and presented a wide range of books from almost all leading publishing houses of the country. The representatives of the faculty, staff and students who actively participated in the book fair were able to view and purchase the books on sale.
