On April 2, members of the staff of Ophthalmology Department, dean's office of the Faculty of Pediatrics and activists of the primary organization of the Youth Union visited Abu Ali ibn Sino Public Health Technical College named after Abu Ali ibn Sino (Avicenna) in Pastdargom district of Samarkand region.

  During the visit, an open dialogue was held with the teaching staff and students of the college, the state and prospects of cooperation were explained, and the tasks resulting from the Presidential Decree "On establishing Samarkand State Medical University and further improvement of staff training system in this area" were discussed. During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Samarkand State Medical University and Public Health Technical College.

  A similar meeting with signing of Memorandum of Cooperation was also held by the 2nd Medical Faculty of SamSMU at Abu Ali ibn Sino Public Health Technical School in Ishtikhan district of the region.
