Samarkand State Medical Institute has organized exemplary work to ensure the participation of students in elections.

  The rector of the institute, professor Jasur Rizaev, teachers and students living in the dormitories exercised their constitutional right to vote for the worthiest candidate in Samarkand polling station #14.

  On behalf of the administration of the institute a plov (traditional Uzbek dish of rice, carrots and meat cooked in linseed oil) was prepared and served to students from other regions living in the institute's dormitories.
