On October 6, 2021, a regular Academic Council was held at Samarkand State Medical Institute. After the opening of Academic Council, Rector, Professor Jasur Rizaev solemnly presented honorary diplomas to professors, associate professors and young scientists as well as certificates to students-winners of Republican Online Olympiad.
Thus, professor of Department of Pediatric Surgery A.M.Shamsiev was awarded Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan for long-term fruitful labour and contribution to development of higher medical education in the country. Other professors and lecturers of the institute also received this certificate. Moreover, a number of staff members of the institute were awarded the honorary diploma of the Khokim (Head) of Samarkand region on the occasion of "October 1st - the Teachers and Mentors Day". Further, the Vice-rector for scientific work and innovations, DSc, Sh. Ziyadullayev was honoured with a badge "Leader of Innovative Ideas" of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Then, an award ceremony for a group of students - winners of the national subject online Olympiad was also held at Academic Council. The certificates were handed over to the owner of II place on the subject “Pharmacology” (scientific supervisor E.F.Ibragimova ) - the 3rd year student of medical faculty, Yakhjohon Khurramov; the owner of III place on the subject “Pharmacology” (scientific supervisor Z.E.Abdurakhmanova) - the 3rd year student of medical faculty, Mirzabek Shodmonov; the owner of III place on the subject “Pediatric Surgery” (scientific supervisor Prof. J.A.Shamsiyev) - the 5th year student of Medical Faculty, Shokhzod Shamsiyev; the owner of II place on the subject “Surgery” (scientific supervisor D.Sh.Abdurakhmanov) - the 6th year student of Faculty of Medical pedagogics, Akobir Abdusamatov; the owner of III place on the subject “Surgery” (scientific supervisor, PhD, A.F.Zainiev) - the 4th year student of Medical faculty, Farangiz Sayfullayeva; the owner of II place on the subject “Forensic-medical examination” (scientific supervisor Associate Professor, F.Kh.Boymanov) - the 5th year student of medical faculty, Doston Kurakboyev; the owner of II place on the subject “Neurology” (scientific supervisor, PhD, A.A.Gaibiev) - the 5th year student of Pediatric faculty, Sardor Kayumov. In addition, certificate from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a cash prize were also awarded to Zarina Nasyrova, who defended her PhD thesis ahead of schedule.
