Samarkand State Medical Institute's international ties are expanding

  It is no exaggeration to state that many international relations associated with the city of Samarkand have shaped our "National Diplomacy", which has its own values and aspects dating back to the time of our great ancestor Amir Temur and continuing to the present day.

  Samarkand State Medical Institute has been steadily expanding its international ties, establishing strong relations, through the signing of agreements and memoranda, with influential foreign institutions and higher education establishments, coordinating its activities on the basis of foreign experience.

  Yesterday delegation headed by Eugene Dmitrievich Grigoriev, Chairman of the St Petersburg Committee for External Relations, visited SamSMI in order to strengthen international relations in the medical field and exchange views and experiences on innovations and technologies in healthcare.

  The delegation of diplomats from St Petersburg was welcomed by the Rector of SamSMI, Jasur Rizaev, who welcomed the guests and spoke about the current activities and future plans of the institute.

  Thus, special attention was paid to the close cooperation with a number of St. Petersburg universities during the meeting, in particular with the Kirov Military Medical Academy named after S.M.Kirov, the FirstMedical University of St. Petersburg and the North-West Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov. The work done in this area was also discussed.

  The participants also exchanged views on bringing cooperation with St. Petersburg Medical Universities to a new quality level in research, academic mobility, etc.
