IX All-Russian Congress of Neurosurgeons

  The IX All-Russian Congress of Neurosurgeons took place in Moscow (Russian Federation), with participation of leading scientists-neurosurgeons from higher educational institutions and scientific-practical medical centers of local and abroad.

  Samarkand State Medical Institute was represented at the practical conference by PhD M.A.Aliev, associate professor of neurosurgery course of the institute. The head of the neurosurgery department of the 1st Clinic of Samarkand State Medical Institute, Kh.Kh. Rajabov also attended the conference.

  So, plenary and sectional sessions, master classes, satellite symposiums, round tables and a working meeting of leading neurosurgeons of Russia and CIS countries were held during the scientific forum.

  The Congress discussed the issues of neurosurgery service organization, neurotraumatology, vascular neurosurgery, spinal neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, children's neurosurgery, functional neurosurgery and epilepsy, plastic and reconstructive neurosurgery, neuroimaging, neuroanesthesiology and intensive care, neurorehabilitation, fundamental research in neurosurgery, digital technologies and artificial intelligence in neurosurgery, as well as organization of postgraduate education and staff training.

  Thus, Associate Professor, M.A. Aliev in his presentation "Significance of MR spectroscopy in the selection of surgical access for brain tumors" presented the practical experience of Samarkand State Medical Institute's researchers, which caused a positive response among the organizers and participants of the Congress. All works of the participants were published in the electronic collection of the conference.

  It should be noted that agreements on establishing partnership relations with a number of medical universities and scientific-practical centers of the CIS countries were also reached at this Congress.
