February 10-19, 2021 in Samarkand State Medical Institute held sport competitions "Rector's Cup". Competitions were held at the sports center of the Academic Lyceum at Samarkand State Medical Institute.

  So, event consisted of two sports - volleyball and chess, and students and winning teams, who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were identified as result of the competition.

  Students and team-winners:

Chess, among girls:

1st - place, Mekhriniso Sulaymonova, a student of Medical faculty,

2-nd place, Marjona Boykhurozova, a student of academic lyceum of Samarkand State Medical Institute,

the 3rd place, Shakhnoza Mardonova, a student of Medical faculty.

Chess, among boys:

1st - place, Inoyatillo Rakhmonov, a student of Medical faculty,

2nd place, Davlatshokh Jalolov, a student of Pediatrics faculty,

3rd place, Erkin Makhmarimov, a student of Pharmacy faculty.

Chess, among women teams:

1st place, team of Academic lyceum,

2nd place, team of Higher nursing faculty,

the 3rd place, the team of the Medical faculty.

Chess, among men's teams:

1 - place, the team of the Faculty of Dentistry,

2nd place, the team of the Faculty of Pediatrics,

3rd place, the team of the Faculty of Medical Pedagogy.

  Speaking at the awards ceremony, Rector of the Samarkand State Medical Institute Professor J.A. Rizaev thanked all the students and their teachers, and noted that in the future it is planned to hold similar sports competitions in other directions of it.

  All winners were awarded memorable gifts and diplomas of the Institute.
