The Second all-Russian Olympiad in sports medicine with international participation "Medical Marathon" was held. 26 teams representing 22 higher educational institutions of Russia and the CIS countries took part in the Olympiad.
Our republic was represented in the All-Russian Olympiad in sports medicine by the team of Samarkand State Medical Institute " Servants of Sports".
The team headed by the Head of the Medical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Department, associate professor Z.F. Mavlyanova consisted of our students, namely, J.Gapparov (5th year student of Faculty of Dentistry), A.Abdusamatov (6th year student of Faculty of Medical Pedagogy), D.Jalolov (5th year student of Faculty of Pediatrics), Kh. Najmiddinov, G. Uralova (2nd year students of Faculty of Pharmacy), Sh. Jalolitdinova, M. Ochilova (4th year students of Faculty of Pediatrics) and took part in all 6 areas (stations) of the International Online Olympiad. As a result, our team won places of honour in 3 sections - "Anti-doping control", "Competition of video clips" and "Sport of higher achievements".
SamSMI got an honourable 2nd place in olympiad and won the crystal cup of the "All-Russian Medical Marathon".
