Administration of Samarkand State Medical Institute promotes expansion of international relations in the field of education and healthcare, vivid examples of which are the signing of a number of important agreements and arrangements as well as holding international conferences and webinars.
Training highly qualified professionals, introducing advanced scientific methods of treatment in medicine, implementing innovative methods of teaching and forming an international database at SamSMI are the main objectives of this work.
The official visit of the delegation of Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan) to Samarkand State Medical Institute on April 10 pursued the objectives mentioned above.
Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University is one of the largest private medical institutions in the neighboring country training qualified personnel in various medical specialties. The university is renowned for its unique training programmes.
Rector of Kazakh-Russian Medical University, Professor Nurlan Dzhaynakbaev and Vice-rector for strategic development and international cooperation Alexander Lee met with Rector of SamSMI, Professor Jasur Rizaev. So, the agenda included discussion of cooperation in science and education as well as training of qualified personnel.
As a result of fruitful negotiations, a memorandum was signed between the two universities.
Rectors analyzed views and approaches of the sides on topical issues of bilateral cooperation, prospects of further deepening relations in the field of scientific research and medicine, strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties.
It should be noted that the rectors reached an agreement on exchange of students and teachers of higher educational institutions as part of academic mobility. Additionally, special attentionwere paid to organization of joint educational programs and publication of educational and scientific literature.
An important point of the meeting was an agreement on active participation of the academic staff and students of the university in the International Olympiad "Skills of aesthetic restoration in dentistry" which is planned to be held on April 16-17.
