Abstract

Preeclampsia (PE) is a syndrome of polyorganic failure that occurs during pregnancy and is based on an increase in the permeability of the vascular wall and other membranes, resulting in volemic and hemodynamic disorders. Preeclampsia, as a major cause of perinatal and maternal morbidity and mortality worldwide, still remains an important medical and social problem.
