Simulation center anesthesiology, intensive care and emergency medicine

  Simulation center for the subject of anesthesiology, resuscitation and emergency medicine is a new model of education that implements innovative forms of training in medical education and the goal of practicing practical skills and abilities through the functioning of simulation rooms, training rooms with the use of phantom mannequins, moulages, virtual robotic mannequins VI-generation.

  The emergence of opportunities for simulation education of students in the direction of anesthesiology and resuscitation is a new, promising and necessary direction.

  Using in anesthesiology, resuscitation and emergency medicine stimulators of new index will allow students not only to observe, but also to carry out all practical skills independently and to solve different situations formed during emergency conditions.

  Goals of the simulation center:

  Realization of professional skills in students in the subject of anesthesiology, resuscitation and emergency medicine

  Objectives of the simulation center:

  • Formation of professional skills and increasing the psychological readiness of students in emergency conditions;
  • Evaluation of the ratio of theoretical and practical knowledge of students in the subject of anesthesiology, resuscitation and emergency medicine;
  • Evaluating the tactics used by the student in emergency and resuscitation conditions;
  • Formation of skills to work in a team of anesthesiologists - resuscitators.

  The simulation classroom consists of 3 zones:

  • Sanitization and work preparation area
  • Emergency care area
  • Resuscitation area

  Emergency medical care zone

  Assess the pattern of extinction of vital functions of the body, identify signs and criteria for diagnosing clinical death and carrying out a set of measures for cardiopulmonary resuscitation at different stages of medical care.

  It includes:

  •  Regularities of extinction of functions of vital organs. Definition of terminal states, their classification and clinical characteristics.
  • Clinical death, its clinical picture, criteria.
  • Stages and stages of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Principles of stage-by-stage provision of assistance.
  • I-stage cardiopulmonary-cerebral resuscitation.
  • Indications for closed heart massage.
  • Stage II stage of cardiopulmonary-cerebral resuscitation.
  • Technique and indications of puncture of vessels. Methods of intravenous administration of drugs.
  • Types of ventricular fibrillation of the heart. Methods of defibrillation.
  • Electropulse therapy in the practice of emergency conditions. Methods of carrying out.
  • Stage IIІІІ stage of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Resumption of consciousness.
  • Complications of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

  Emergency conditions in the intensive care unit:

  • Perform upper airway patency checks.
  • Ensure upper airway patency.
  • Administer ventilator.
  • Perform closed heart massage.

  • Perform electrical defibrillation of the heart.

Resuscitation care zone

  This zone diagnoses and provides resuscitation measures for different types of acute respiratory and cardiovascular insufficiency, resuscitation care for patients with acute respiratory and cardiovascular insufficiency and intensive therapy of hypoxic conditions.
